1. Session Structure & Duration
• Individual sessions run for 60 minutes.
• Couple and Family sessions run for 60 minutes, unless otherwise arranged.
• Introductory sessions are 90 minutes to allow enough time for history, context, and goal-setting.
• If you need additional time, you’re welcome to discuss this with Ina during your session.
2. Booking Policy
• Sessions must be booked at least 48 hours in advance.
• Emergency appointments may be available — please contact Ina directly on +27 84 699 8534 via WhatsApp.
3. Cancellation Policy
• Sessions cancelled with less than 24 hours’ notice may be charged in full.
• Missed sessions without notice will also be charged.
• If technical issues occur during online sessions (e.g., connection failure), the session may be rescheduled without penalty.
4. Payment Terms
• Payments are due before or immediately after each session.
• Accepted payment methods: bank transfer or any agreed method.
• Please use your full name + session date as your payment reference.
• For Custom Contribution sessions, your agreed contribution amount will be confirmed before the session.
5. Confidentiality & Data Protection
Care Counselling adheres to the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA) and GDPR. Your information will always be kept confidential.
This means:
• Your data is used only for counselling and documentation.
• Your information will never be shared without your explicit consent (unless legally required).
• Your records are stored securely.
Your rights include:
• Access to the data we hold about you.
• Correcting incorrect information.
• Requesting deletion where legally allowed.
• Withdrawing consent at any time.
6. Scope of Service
Care Counselling provides non-clinical, supportive guidance through a registered psychological counsellor.
Counselling does not include:
• Medical diagnosis
• Psychotherapy
• Psychiatric treatment
• Emergency medical or psychological intervention
You acknowledge that:
• Counselling outcomes depend on your engagement.
• You will seek medical or psychiatric assistance for acute psychological concerns.
• The counsellor is not liable for any health, legal, or financial outcomes related to the counselling process.
7. Online Counselling Conditions
• You are responsible for choosing a private, quiet space for sessions.
• Please inform the counsellor if others are present or may overhear.
• Video sessions are preferred, but audio-only can be used if needed.
• If connection issues occur, sessions may be rescheduled.
8. Emergencies
If you are in immediate danger or experiencing a crisis, please seek help from:
• Your nearest emergency room
• Your local medical professional

Counselling is not a 24/7 emergency service.
9. Consent to Counselling
By booking a session, you acknowledge that you understand:
• The nature and limits of counselling
• The confidentiality policy
• The data protection policy
• The online counselling conditions
• The payment and cancellation policies
• Your personal responsibility during the counselling process
